Warm Weather Fun

The weather has warmed here (oh, except for those few days of snow in between). We've taken advantage of the great weather with park visits, our first trip to the zoo, and the living traditions festival.

The girls first trip to the park was full of laughs - for me. The girls were so funny. Sofia was totally scared by a pinecone next to our picnic blanket, and Helena touched grass and thought it was horrible. Here's a video of Helena's grass experience - so funny.

We went on a family picnic to the park. Helena and Sofia loved watching the "big" kids play on the playground.

The girls were willing to brave the grass for the chance to get close to the seagulls.

The girls got an annual pass to the zoo, so we took a warm afternoon and went to see the elephants. That's about all that we saw, since it was too close to nap time, and we ended up leaving about 30 minutes after we got there. Thankfully, the zoo is close, and we have the annual pass.

Dave and I, excited about our zoo visit.

At the elephant exhibit - the highlight of our visit :)

The girls giving each other a love. It's so sweet - they often do this when you say "Do you want to give your sister a love" - the both lean in to eachother.

Last weekend we went to The Living Traditions Festival with my friend Joanna and her 2 month old daughter, Violet. Violet seemed so tiny to me, but she's over 10 lbs now! I remember so clearly when the girls reached 10 lbs, and I thought they were gigantic! Funny how the perspective changes...
